Hey there — welcome to the very first post on my blog — a space I’ve built to share, connect, and grow.

I’m Ameet Shrestha, a front-end developer / software developer by profession, a fitness freak by lifestyle, and a musician. I spend my days writing code and solving UI puzzles, but once the laptop’s closed, you’ll usually find me lifting weights, fine-tuning my macros, or listening to music, playing guitar and jamming up with my friends during some weekends.

Yes, this blogging platform is where all those worlds collide.

Sure, I’ll be sharing thoughts on tech, coding tips, and personal projects — but you’ll also find posts about the fitness routines I follow, the playlists that power my coding sprints, and my take on balancing discipline with creativity. So, I think you have pretty much guessed what my future blog is going to be about.

Why I built this portfolio

I’ve worked on plenty of projects for companies and clients — but this portfolio is something I built entirely for myself.

I wanted a space that truly reflects who I am and showcase the work I’m proud of, share the things I’m learning, write freely, and express ideas that go beyond just tech. I wanted something more personal. Something I could own and evolve.

That’s also why I decided to add a blog — to give myself the freedom to talk about something I am interested in, something I have built, my thoughts and views and many more. I wanted a platform where I could share it all. Consider this as my digital home where my thoughts go and where my story keeps unfolding.

I’m not gonna lie — I’m not exactly sure how often I’ll be posting here. Life’s busy, and there’s always a lot going on.

But here’s what I know — this is just one of many more to come.

I’ve been trying to make more time for writing, and I’m excited to finally do it as I have got this space now. It might be weekly, monthly, or just whenever inspiration hits — but I’ll be showing up. And honestly, I’m really looking forward to it.

My journey so far

My journey into tech wasn’t a straight line — and I think that’s what makes it exciting.

I’ve always had a deep interest in technology and understanding how things work, but it wasn’t until my brother-in-law encouraged me to start learning a basic programming language that I actually took the step forward. I somehow managed to learn the fundamentals and thought I was ready to land an internship — but little did I know, the road ahead had a whole lot of hills.

Every step came with a new challenge, but each one taught me something valuable. Coming from a business background, making out a place for myself in the tech world wasn’t easy. It felt like I was constantly right in the beginning. But hey — look at me now. I’ve come a long way, and all the hard work? It paid off, eventually and fully.

On the fitness side, I’ve been obsessed with health and wellness for years. For me, it’s not just about lifting weights — it’s about building discipline, resilience, and a strong mind-body connection. And I have come to believe that the focus and consistency which is required in fitness are the same qualities that help you succeed in tech. Both require patience, mental strength, and the ability to push through when things get tough. Working out keeps me grounded, sharp, and motivated.

Music is another huge part of my life. I’ve been playing the guitar for as long as I can remember, and there’s nothing quite like jamming with friends to spark creativity. Music has taught me patience, persistence, and expressiveness.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but even more excited about what’s ahead. My journey hasn’t exactly followed a straight path — from tech to training to music, every step has shaped who I am. And honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing.

What’s next?

Now that my portfolio and blog are live, it feels like just the beginning.

I want this space to grow with me — whether that means sharing new projects, writing about personal experiences, or posting thoughts that don’t quite fit into a caption or tweet.

It’s not just about code. It’s about creativity, consistency, and whatever inspires me along the way.

Final Note

If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading!

I’m super excited about what’s ahead — and honestly, just happy to have a little corner of the internet that feels like me.

Stick around — things are just getting started.
